Industry Unites to Launch Marine Technician “Job Ready” Pilot Course

The marine industry is addressing the skills shortage, with the OEDA Working Group launching a two-day “Job Ready” pilot for school students. Delivered at the Mercury Marine Training Centre, the program provides hands-on experience with outboard engines and boats, along with completion of the Marine Card, offering a direct pathway into a marine mechanical apprenticeship.

The initiative brings together major outboard brands and industry partners to help build a pipeline into careers in Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology.
