MitchCap Exhibitor Function & Awards Night
The boating industry came together on Friday evening for the MitchCap Exhibitor Function, held as part of the 63rd Melbourne Boat Show at Docklands.
The event was MC’d by BIAV CEO Steve Walker, who kept the evening light, engaging, and full of good cheer. BIAV President Scott O’Hare officially welcomed exhibitors, sponsors, and special guests, acknowledging the industry’s ongoing collaboration and the shared success of this year’s show.
Guests also heard from Bill Hurley, General Manager at MitchCap, who warmly welcomed attendees and expressed MitchCap’s pride in supporting an event that celebrates innovation, craftsmanship, and connection across Victoria’s marine industry.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Exhibitor Awards. BIAV’s Manager Events and Marketing, Katrina Muir, congratulated this year’s outstanding displays, announcing Sundance Marine as the winner of the Best On-Water Exhibit and JV Marine as the winner of the Best On-Land Exhibit.
Adding to the excitement, Steve Walker officially announced the new Gippsland Lakes Boat Show, to be held in Paynesville from 27 February to 1 March 2026. The announcement was met with great enthusiasm from the crowd, with further details about the event to be released later this week.
The function provided a fantastic opportunity for exhibitors and industry professionals to connect, celebrate, and reflect on another successful Melbourne Boat Show, one that truly showcased the strength, diversity, and passion of Victoria’s boating community.
