Nominations Open for the 2026 Australian Search and Rescue Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Australian Search and Rescue Awards, recognising the outstanding efforts of individuals, teams, clubs and organisations that make a significant contribution to search and rescue across Australia. Presented by the National Search and Rescue (NATSAR) Council, the awards celebrate the cooperation between professional agencies, volunteers and the wider community that helps save lives on land and water.

With many BIAV members supporting safe boating and emergency response initiatives, this is an opportunity to recognise those who have gone above and beyond over the past year. Nominations close 15 July 2026, with the awards to be presented on 15 October 2026 in Perth. Members can find further information and submit a nomination via the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) here.
