The Mildura boating industry came together today for a valuable catch-up with BIAV CEO Steve Walker, highlighting the strength and diversity of the local sector. From sales and service to boatbuilding, hire, supply chain and slipping, the group represents a broad cross-section of businesses supporting the Sunraysia boating community and beyond. Key discussions focused on workforce challenges, opportunities to run an industry immersion day for career aspirants, boat ramp improvements, promoting the region as a boating destination, and the role of regional boat shows. Importantly, the value of a connected industry and strong association was a consistent theme throughout. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to collaborate on the proposed immersion day and reconvene later in the year to continue building momentum.
