Building the Workforce Pipeline

Many BIAV members are crying out for good, reliable staff, including everything from apprentices to qualified and experienced workers. Last week’s BIAV ‘road show’, which included visits by Eva Pasquet (new Boating Careers Coordinator) and Steve Walker, to Bar Crusher Boats, Race Marine, Chelsea Yamaha, Nautek Marine, JPM Shipwrights, and JV Marine, further emphasised this need and demonstrated the need for the Boating Careers program.

Our thanks go to each of these valued members, who provided great feedback and input and are keen to work with BIAV to further establish Boating Careers and deliver a pipeline of workers to the industry. The ‘road show’ continues over the next few months across suburban and regional areas and will cover topics such as engaging with Boating Careers, Boat Show planning, Boaters Marketplace, government advocacy, and more.
