A number of boating infrastructure upgrades are underway or progressing across Victoria:

  • Lake Eildon (Howqua Inlet): Construction has commenced on a new two-lane ramp and 18 parking spaces.

  • Tooradin: Ramp closed for major upgrade, including extended lanes, pontoons and improved access—reopening ahead of snapper season 2026.

  • Lake Colac: New pontoons to improve safety and access, funded through the Better Boating Fund.

  • Schnapper Point: Upgrade works commencing, with closure during construction and reopening expected in October.

  • Newhaven Jetty: Maintenance works complete, with broader upgrade planning underway.

  • Tullaroop Reservoir: Plans for a new concrete ramp to replace the erosion-prone gravel facility.

  • Karadoc (Mildura): Ramp upgrade scheduled for 2026/27 to improve Murray River access.

These projects continue to enhance access, safety and user experience for boaters across the state.
