On Wednesday, 28th January 2026, the leisure industry lost one of its own when Gerry Morsman sadly passed away, leaving a gaping hole in our hearts.
Gerry was more than a friend to so many of us — he was the kind of person who showed up, who listened, who laughed loudly and loved deeply. He had a rare ability to make people feel welcome, valued, and at ease, whether you’d known him for five minutes or a lifetime. As a mate, a partner, a father, a son, a brother, a nephew, a colleague, and a friend, Gerry gave his heart freely and without condition. He will be remembered for his generosity, humour, loyalty, and the quiet strength he brought to every room. He leaves behind an immeasurable absence, but also a legacy of kindness and connection that will live on through all of us who were lucky enough to call him ours.
Gerry’s legacy lives on through his wife, Amy, and their darling daughter, Billie, as well as all of his family and friends. He will be sorely missed.

Gerry’s family has warmly invited friends, colleagues, customers, and members of the wider community to attend a Celebration of Life to honour and remember him.
Service Details
Date: Friday, 6 February 2026
Time: 2:30pm
Location: Stratus / Cumulus Reflection Space, Bunurong Memorial Park
Following the service, all are welcome to join Gerry’s family for refreshments (a “bevy”) from around 4pm at: The Dava Hotel, 614 Esplanade, Mount Martha

In Lieu of Flowers – Supporting Billie’s Future
The family has kindly requested no further flowers. Instead, if you wish to honour Gerry’s memory, we encourage you to consider donating to a GoFundMe campaign established to support Amy and Gerry's daughter, Billie.
This fundraiser has been thoughtfully structured to provide both immediate support and long‑term security:
The first $10,000 raised will be placed into a Trust account for Billie, to be accessible when Billie turns 21. 25% of all funds raised beyond the initial $10,000 will also be contributed to this Trust. The remaining funds will assist Amy with essential living costs and ongoing expenses during this difficult transition.
Every contribution, regardless of size, will make a meaningful difference. Your support will not only help Amy now but also play a lasting role in securing Billie’s future.
