DEATH RUMOURS EXAGGERATED – AUTO AND MARINE TRIMMING

Recent rumours, that the Automotive and Marine Trimming Cert III course at Holmesglen would be ‘taught out’ and discontinued are incorrect.

Following urgent meetings with Holmesglen late last week, BIAV is pleased to advise that Holmesglen do intend to continue the course and provide the education opportunity for apprentices coming into the marine trimming stream.

That said, the course is in recess until a suitable teacher/s can be secured.

Holmesglen have placed a SEEK advertisement for a teaching position within the course and it can be viewed at this link.

Would You like to teach the course? Or can you recommend someone?

BIAV is now supporting Holmesglen to find a suitable teacher/s and note the following –

  • Whilst the TAE (Cert IV) qualification will be a requirement, if you don’t have it currently, Holmesglen will help you to quickly attain it and start teaching. So long as you are industry qualified, have industry experience, and computer literacy.

  • The position is casual/part time, and allows the teacher to continue doing other work and enjoy the variety of that offering.

  • In doing so, you will be helping people enter the industry, and helping to save the future of auto/marine trimming, as without the teachers, and without the course, apprentices can’t come through.

  • The work will be rewarding and the renumeration will be at an attractive level.
