Volunteers Required for Boat Ramp Host Program

The Boat Ramp Host trial, to be run at Patterson River, aims to enhance the experience of the boating and fishing public when arriving at the ramp.
Boat Ramp Hosts are required to provide support to boat owners on topics such as launching and retrieval of boats as well as other relevant marine and boating information.
The trial will operate over four weekends in October 2008 and a team of volunteers will be required from 8am to 11am and 3pm to 6pm each day over those weekends. BIA is calling on members with appropriate boating knowledge and at least five years boating experience to volunteer for the trial.
Should the trial be successful, it may be extended to other boat ramp locations.
