New Savage Aluminium 540 Beachcomber with 3.0L sterndrive

Savage has added a powerful new bowrider to its range, with its latest 540 Beachcomber bowrider hosting the popular 3.0l, 135hp sterndrive instead of the traditional outboard.

With extra room, extra power and an appealing sleeker look, the 540 Beachcomber has plenty to offer everyone interested in spending time on the water.

“A sterndrive effectively makes this boat a lot roomier than its similar-sized competitors,” said Colin Perkovic, Brunswick’s Aluminium Boat Group Sales Manager.

“It’s really opened out the stern area, which now features a built in swim platform. We have also added corner aft seats which are comfortable and really functional.”

With plenty of room for six people, there’s also loads of storage for vests, skis ropes and fishing gear.

A new low-profile windscreen adds to the boat’s sleek and stylish good looks, while the cleverly designed walk-through section still allows people to get to the bow seats with ease.

“It all makes the 540 Beachcomber even more user friendly and really sets it apart from everything else that’s out there.”

The powerful 3.0l, 135hp Mercury MerCruiser sterndrive provides plenty of torque to make family watersport activities skiers a breeze.

The sterndrive also improves the boat’s handling characteristics, allowing it to turn and track with ease, and a fibreglass engine box significantly reduces engine noise.

The MerCruiser sterndrive is also one of the most reliable motors on the market, with 25 years of excellent performance behind it.
