BIA Boat Club

June 8th, 2010

The Boat Club through the Boating Industry Association of Victoria (BIAV) provides representation at Government levels of marine and fishing activities. The BIAV meet regularly with Marine Safety Victoria, Department of Primary Industries, Parks Victoria, Victorian Recreational Fishing and many others to ensure your rights and investigate ways to improve infrastructure and facilities for boating and fishing in Victoria. We fight for long-term access to marine areas and sustainable recreational fishing. As a Victorian State Association we advocate for inland, bay and open water in Victoria.

The benefits of membership grow each time BIAV gain new relationships with members and marine industry supporters. Benefits are not restricted to marine only as they can incorporate everyday advantages such as discounted goods, services, training etc.

Your Boat Club card can be used at member outlets to gain an advantage, discount or offer. BIA also offers finance, insurance and superannuation to all members.

Boatsonsale.com.au is the site for boat sales, while biavic.com.au offers information for your boating and fishing needs. If not, a link is provided to steer you in the right direction.

Boat Club members will be recognised as responsible recreational boat operators and given assistance.

BIAV resources are available for member enquiries and boat operator questions. BIAV is the peak body for the marine industry in Victoria, and therefore has contacts and a network of marine information.

The Boat Club has a dedicated information page on the BIAV web site, along with Twitter and an e-newsletter we will send out to members.

Boat Club benefits include:
• Marine finance, through BIA Victoria Finance
• Personal Accident Policy through BIA insurance providers IC Frith
• A personalised membership card. By showing your card at a BIA members business, you are eligible for the monthly benefits and offers.

Log onto to our new website if you require any more information, or come and visit our stand at the 50th Annual Melbourne Boat Show, Melbourne Exhibition Centre, July 1-5.
