Chart your way to a new destination at the Boat ShowBoat Books Australia has a wide range of new products on offer at the 48th Annual BIA Melbourne Boat Show.
Memory Map Navigation Software heads the list of products available for purchase at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 3 to 7 July.
The new Memory Map software contains charts that are easy to access – it is as simple as loading it onto the laptop, plugging in a compatible GPS and your laptop becomes a chart plotter.
Areas available include Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales and Queensland, encompassing areas such as Cape Byron, Whitsunday Isles, Cape York and Cape Howe.
Also on offer at Boat Books is the Magellan Triton Range of handheld GPS units, including the Triton 1500, which is being hailed as the world’s first touch screen handheld GPS.
Boat Books has a complete range of nautical books, charts, navigation equipment, gifts, navigation software and DVDs at Show, including a special Boat Show price of $119.95 for the Cruising the NSW Coast and Cruising the Coral Coast book set.
Other special Boat Show attractions include boat license training and testing sessions conducted by the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard at 10.30am and 3pm daily, with additional sessions on Friday July 4 and Saturday July 5 at 6:30pm.
The BIA Melbourne Boat Show is organised by the Boating Industry Association (BIA) of Victoria and runs from Thursday 3 July to Monday 7 July at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Tickets can be pre-purchased by visiting www.melbourneboatshow.com.au and following the links.
